Rycote Modular Windshield WS 8 Kit

The Rycote WS 8 modular windshield kit covers the longest shotgun microphones, 466 to 540 mm long and 19 to 34 mm in diameter, with a 3-pin XLR connector.

The kit combines the three parts of Rycote’s modular system. Inside, the Modular Suspension supports the microphone in a cradle of Lyre suspension webs for complete isolation from handling and cable-borne noise. The windshield basket surrounds the microphone and its connector and slides onto the suspension for up to 30 dB of wind noise attenuation. The Windjammer, the synthetic fur cover Rycote introduced in 1987, fits over the basket with a drawstring and toggle and adds a further 20 dB.

Every part of the kit is also sold separately.
