Rycote Modular Windshield WS 6 Kit
The Rycote WS 6 modular basket windshield kit fits shotgun microphones 351 to 400 mm long and 19 to 34 mm in diameter with a 3-pin XLR connector.
A kit has three parts. The modular suspension holds the mic in Lyre webs, isolating it from handling and cable noise. The basket slides over the suspension and gives up to 30 dB of wind noise attenuation. The Windjammer fur cover, fitted with a drawstring and toggle, adds a further 20 dB.
The kit suits long shotguns such as the Sennheiser MKH 70, Audio-Technica AT8035, and Audio-Technica BP4071.
