Rycote Modular Windshield WS 2 Kit

Small-diaphragm condenser mics get full wind and handling protection from the Rycote WS 2, a complete modular windshield kit. It fits microphones 121 to 160 mm long and 19 to 25 mm in diameter with a 3-pin XLR connector.

The kit combines the three parts of Rycote’s modular system. The Modular Suspension supports the microphone in a cradle of Lyre suspension webs for complete isolation from handling and cable-borne noise. The windshield basket surrounds the microphone and its connector and slides onto the suspension for up to 30 dB of wind noise attenuation. The Windjammer is a synthetic fur cover that fits over the basket with a drawstring and toggle. With the basket, it cuts wind noise by up to 50 dB.

Rycote also sells each part of the modular system separately. The kit ships within North America only.
