Rycote Modular Windshield WS 4 Kit

Built for shotgun microphones 211 to 280 mm long and 19 to 34 mm in diameter with a 3-pin XLR connector, the Rycote WS 4 combines a modular windshield and suspension in one complete kit. It fits mics such as the Sennheiser MKH 416, Sennheiser MKH 60, and Schoeps CMIT 5.

The kit combines Rycote’s three modular components. The Modular Suspension cradles the microphone in Lyre suspension webs to isolate handling and cable-borne noise. The windshield basket surrounds the microphone and its connector and slides onto the suspension for up to 30 dB of wind-noise attenuation. The gray Windjammer, with 40 mm fur, raises the total to as much as 50 dB. Each part is also sold separately, so you can rebuild the kit for other microphones.
