Rycote Modular Windshield WS 5 Kit

Sized for shotgun microphones 281 to 350 mm long and 19 to 34 mm in diameter with a 3-pin XLR connector, the Rycote WS 5 is a complete modular windshield kit.

The kit combines the three parts of Rycote’s modular system. The Modular Suspension supports the microphone in a cradle of Lyre suspension webs for complete isolation from handling and cable-borne noise. The windshield basket surrounds the microphone and its connector and slides onto the suspension for up to 30 dB of wind noise attenuation. The Windjammer, a synthetic fur cover, fits over the basket with a drawstring and toggle and adds a further 20 dB.

Each part of the kit is also sold separately.
