JK Audio Interchange LTD Intercom Phone Bridge + Digital Hybrid
The JK Audio Interchange LTD connects a party-line intercom to an analog phone line through its built-in digital hybrid, so a remote caller can join the intercom.
The front panel headset interface jack connects a wireless phone, tablet, or computer for remote access through a phone call or a conferencing app. A DTMF keypad with redial handles call setup. The 1RU rackmount chassis runs on the included 120 to 240 VAC power supply.
Both the phone hybrid and the headset interface monitor the intercom like any other belt pack, through a high-impedance bridging tap on the intercom line. A front panel switch sets talk mode to Off, On, or Auto, and Auto follows the hybrid’s auto-answer setting. The digital hybrid connects intercom audio to the phone line without the crosstalk of analog hybrids. The DSP continuously monitors both the phone line and the audio. Its proprietary dual-convergence echo canceller typically reaches more than 50 dB of separation, with no setup and no noise burst sent down the line.
Male and female 3-pin XLR loop jacks connect the intercom channel, and a male XLR mix line output feeds monitoring. Screwdriver level controls set the send and receive levels, shown on LED meters, and a switch selects the channel. The panel also has a 3.5 mm TRRS monitor headset jack with volume control and an off-hook LED.
