JK Audio AutoHybrid Full-Duplex Auto-Answer Telephone Hybrid

The JK Audio AutoHybrid connects a mixer or monitoring system to an analog phone line for full-duplex audio, answering on the first ring and running with no battery or AC power.

Its dual transformer hybrid sends and receives at the same time, with 20 dB nominal trans-hybrid loss. The audio you send appears in the receive signal 20 dB below the level it went into the line. A hybrid null adjustment sets this separation between send and receive, up to 20 dB.

With the Auto switch on, it stays off-hook after answering until you press Drop or the phone company releases the line. Some business PBX phone systems do not send that release signal. Screw terminals take remote off-hook and release controls, and a front panel LED shows when the line is off-hook.

It suits monitoring remote locations, IFB feeds, and simple studio, conferencing, and PA telephone interfaces. Audio goes in on a female XLR send input and comes out on a balanced male XLR caller output. The optional RA4 rack mount adapter holds four AutoHybrids in one rack space.
