Wisycom PFL-T2 Portable RF Over Fiber Box

The Wisycom PFL-T2 carries the RF of two diversity antenna channels over single-mode fiber, in a portable box for antenna positions too far away for coaxial cable.

Built for broadcast, film, and live production, it has a wide dynamic range and a low-noise design. Inside is a BFL-T2 module, whose filter and multiplexer options set the version. Both versions sold here have the F1 filter, one without RF multiplexing (M0) and one with it (M2).

A standard V-Lock battery powers it where no mains power is available. A DC power supply comes with it, and the battery then works as a backup. A large internal fan, its speed set by a temperature sensor, keeps the box cool even in direct sunlight.

The fibers enter through a side opening and are fastened and protected inside the box. The external connection is an OpticalCON Duo connector. It works with Wisycom’s MRK16 and MRK980 racks, and the PFL-R2 is the matching box for IEM and IFB.
