Wisycom PFL-T2

The Wisycom PFL-T2 is the receiving unit of the Wisycom Portable RF over Fiber Box system, designed for long-distance RF signal transport in broadcast, live production, and film applications where coaxial cable runs are impractical or impossible. The PFL-T2 accepts two diversity RF channels and converts them to optical signals for transport over single-mode fiber with minimal loss and no degradation over extended distances. It pairs with the PFL-R2 transmitting unit to create a complete RF over fiber link. The system was unveiled at IBC 2025 and represents Wisycom’s most portable RF fiber solution to date.

The PFL-T2 is powered by a standard V-Lock battery, which allows remote or elevated antenna placement in locations without access to mains power. A DC power input is also included, with battery power available as a backup. An internal fan with temperature-based speed control provides effective ventilation even in direct sunlight. The robust OpticalCON Duo connector offers reliable external fiber connection, while an internal cable management system with a protective side-entry port simplifies installation in the field. A wide dynamic range and low-noise RF front end ensure interference-free performance across the full operating bandwidth.
