Sound Devices A20-BatteryDoubler Dual Battery Adapter for Astral Mini

The Sound Devices A20-BatteryDoubler is a dual battery door for the Astral Mini that holds two NP-BX1 batteries, doubling the transmitter’s run time to up to 9 hours.

It swaps with the Astral Mini’s standard battery door in seconds. With it fitted, the transmitter keeps its height and width and grows only in depth. Both batteries charge at once when the Astral Mini is on a USB-C power source. With the door closed, the transmitter resists water and sweat.

Good to Know

To swap between the BatteryDoubler and the standard door, an Astral Mini needs an upgraded door hinge. Sound Devices or select dealers fit the new hinge, and the upgrade includes a new A20-BatteryDoubler.

The PowerStation-8M charges up to eight Astral Minis, or four with BatteryDoublers fitted. An existing PowerStation-8M takes a free upgrade to support the BatteryDoubler.
