At the heart of the mount is Rycote’s renowned Duo Lyre cradle, which delivers exceptional isolation from handling noise, rumble, and vibrations — far outperforming traditional elastic-suspension or clip-style mounts. Built from virtually indestructible modern materials, the non-slip mic clip will never sag, stretch out, or need rethreading, making it a long-term investment that holds up through heavy use.

The mount accommodates shotgun microphones with diameters between 19–34mm, including popular models like the Rode NTG3, Sennheiser MKH 416, Sennheiser MKH 8060, Sanken CS-3E, Schoeps CMIT 5U, and more. The 3/8-inch brass shoe includes a 1/4-inch tap and can be removed entirely for boom pole or stand mounting. A built-in cable clamp keeps your rig tidy and tangle-free.

The Universal Shotgun Mount is fully compatible with all slip-on windscreens — including Rycote Classic-Softie and Super-Softie styles — as well as standard foam windscreens.

Please note: This mount fits shotgun microphones with a barrel diameter of 19–34mm. It is not compatible with all shotgun mic models. Check your microphone’s specs before purchasing.
