Rycote Short-Fur Softie

The Rycote Short-Fur Softie is a slip-on windshield for shotgun microphones, with short, non-shedding black fur in place of the Classic-Softie’s longer pile for a more discreet look on camera.

It gives up to 25 dB of wind noise reduction indoors and out, on a camera or a boom pole. The thin-walled open-cell foam keeps high-frequency loss to a minimum and resists UV and moisture damage, and the integral fur cover keeps dust off the microphone.

The Short-Fur Softie comes in 7, 10, 12, 15, and 18 cm lengths for microphones 19 to 22 mm in diameter. Each one is handmade in the UK.
