Rycote SGM Foam + Windjammer for Shotgun Microphones

The Rycote SGM Foam + Windjammer pairs an SGM slip-on foam with a matching Windjammer fur cover, for shotgun mics working in high wind.

The open-cell foam cuts wind noise by up to 20 dB with minimal high-frequency loss, and resists moisture and UV light. The synthetic fur Windjammer slips quickly over the foam and adds a further 12 dB.

On calmer days, take off the Windjammer and use the foam alone. Both parts are also sold separately.

Choosing a Size

Each combination is named for the foam’s length and the mic diameter it fits. Choose the length that covers your mic’s interference tube slots, and the hole size that matches the mic: 19/22 for 19 to 22 mm, 24/25 for 24 to 25 mm.
