Rycote Classic-Softie Camera Kit

The Rycote Classic-Softie Camera Kit is an all-in-one windshield and shock mount solution for camera-mounted shotgun microphones. Combining the Classic-Softie windshield with the InVision Video Shock Mount, the kit provides effective wind noise reduction of up to 25 dB alongside vibration isolation from camera handling, motor noise, and stand-borne disturbances. The InVision Video Shock Mount uses Rycote’s patented Lyre suspension technology, which provides superior and more consistent isolation than traditional elastic band mounts. The mount is fitted with a hot shoe fixture as standard, with included adaptors for boom pole, stand, and camera clamp mounting. This versatile mounting system accommodates a variety of shotgun microphone applications beyond camera-mount use. The Classic-Softie itself is handmade in the United Kingdom from a thin-walled open-cell foam with an integral fur cover, maintaining acoustic transparency while providing effective wind protection. Available in multiple sizes to suit different shotgun microphone lengths and diameters (19–22mm). Suitable for ENG, documentary, broadcast, and location sound applications.
