JK Audio RemoteMix 3.5 Three-Channel Broadcast Field Mixer
The JK Audio RemoteMix 3.5 mixes three mics and feeds three headphones, with a phone line hybrid and keypad, a PBX handset interface, and wired and Bluetooth cell phone connections.
For TV, three 1/4 in IFB headphone feeds each have their own level control. A crew can send and receive interview audio and pull IFB from any business phone system, a cell phone, or a notebook. For radio, it suits sports remotes: it calls into a studio talk show hybrid over the phone line, or works as the front-end mixer for a POTS, ISDN, IP, or smartphone codec.
Bluetooth connects in hands-free mode for a two-way call at 3.4 kHz telecom bandwidth, or 7 kHz wide-band speech with HD Voice phones on supported networks. Wireless headphone mode gives a listen-only link with 20 kHz audio bandwidth. The wired interface plugs into the 3.5 mm headset jack of a phone or notebook. The handset interface takes the coiled cord of an ISDN, PBX, or VoIP phone, with a selector for electret, carbon, and dynamic handsets.
A soft limiter keeps the phone interfaces from overdriving, while the XLR mix output stays pre-limiter and full range. 3.5 mm send and receive jacks let you record the show or mix in a playback device. An LED VU meter shows levels. The RemoteMix 3.5 runs on two hot-swappable 9 V batteries or a 100 to 240 VAC external supply.
