JK Audio RemoteAmp Stereo Headphone / IFB Earpiece Amplifier
Clipped to a belt, the JK Audio RemoteAmp drives stereo headphones or an IFB earpiece from a mixer, hybrid, or handset tap, and runs more than 20 hours on one 9 V battery.
Its 3-pin XLR line input takes a feed from a mixer, a distribution amplifier, a telephone line hybrid, or a handset interface such as the JK Audio QuickTap IFB. A low-impedance 3.5 mm stereo line input mixes in the headphone output of any other device and keeps it in stereo all the way to the headphones. Its termination is selectable, Hi-Z or Lo-Z.
One master level control and two independent level controls set the mix. A separate power switch lets you leave the volume where it is. The low-distortion, half-watt amplifier cuts through crowd noise, so it also works as an on-stage monitor headphone amp. The RemoteAmp can also listen in on two-wire party-line intercoms.
Headphones plug into a 1/4 in or a 3.5 mm stereo jack, and a stainless steel belt clip holds the amp in place.
