JK Audio ComPack Universal Telephone Audio Interface

The JK Audio ComPack gets telephone audio in and out of analog phone lines, PBX systems, and cell phones from one universal handheld unit, for remote broadcasts, IFB feeds, and interviews.

Plugged into the 3.5 mm headset jack of a cell phone or notebook, it works as the device’s headset. HD Voice phones on supported networks carry 7 kHz wide-band speech. Connected to the handset cord of an ISDN, PBX, or VoIP phone, it sends and receives through that phone. Plugged into an RJ-11 jack, it goes off-hook to dial or answer an analog call. A handset selector switch covers electret, carbon, and dynamic handsets. The DTMF keypad has a lockout switch.

The 3-pin male XLR line output doubles as a com link to a wet party-line intercom. That link is a full-duplex, always-on connection to any telephone network. An XLR mic input with a mic/line switch, a 3.5 mm stereo line input, and a 1/4 in stereo headphone jack each have their own level control. A transmit clip LED and a battery test LED show levels and battery state.

One 9 V alkaline battery runs the ComPack for more than 20 hours, and a 120 to 240 VAC power supply comes with it.
