DPA SB0400/SBS0400 Lightweight Stereo Boom

The DPA SB0400/SBS0400 is a lightweight stereo boom for pencil microphones that switches quickly, precisely, and repeatably between AB, XY, ORTF, and DIN stereo setups.

The SBS0400 comes with shock-mounted mic holders, and the SB0400 is the boom alone. The shock mounts are based on the Rycote Lyre suspension and hold omni and directional mics, compact or larger; with an added Lyre rubber piece, they fit almost any mic.

Markers show parallel positioning and 90° and 110° offsets for XY and ORTF, and a central base with a rotary joint angles the mics equally. The boom is 40 cm (1.3 ft) long, with hooks for hanging it on wires, and more holders can be added for more than two mics.
