DPA BLM6000-B Boundary Layer Mount for Lavalier Microphones

The DPA BLM6000-B is a boundary layer mount: a soft disc of durable rubber, 75 mm (2.95 in) across, with a cavity underneath that holds a DPA 4060, 4061, 4062, or 4063 miniature mic.

Place it on a sound-reflecting surface such as a floor, wall, or ceiling. There the mic gains 6 dB of direct sound but only 3 dB of diffuse sound, so it sounds clearer and more intelligible than in free air. Inside the lid of an open grand piano, it gives a distinct, crisp sound.
