DPA 6066 CORE Subminiature Headset Microphone

The DPA 6066 CORE, a subminiature omnidirectional headset microphone made to be worn all day, has a capsule only 3 mm (0.12 in) across.

CORE technology, shrunk to fit the 3 mm capsule, gives it a 26 dB(A) noise floor, lower than any other 3 mm capsule and on par with DPA’s 5 mm miniatures. It handles high sound levels without distortion.

The one-size frame is stainless steel with a PVD coating that resists heat, impact, and abrasion, and it adjusts quickly for size. Spring-loaded ear grips hold above, below, and behind each ear for a secure fit that stays comfortable through long wear.

The 130 mm boom extends, shortens, and pivots at a fixed point below the ear, with an anti-rotation shape and a sliding lock to hold it at the corner of the mouth. It detaches to move to the other side, and a service connector lets the boom and cable be replaced separately.

A cable guide at the back slides out of the camera’s view and keeps the 1.6 mm Kevlar-core cable clear of the boom. The stainless steel grid clicks firmly into place and comes off for cleaning, and the mic is IP58 rated against water and sweat.
