DPA 4099 CORE+ Instrument Microphone

Clipped onto the instrument on a gooseneck, the DPA 4099 CORE+ supercardioid gives close, natural pickup with strong isolation on stage or in the studio.

One 4099 moves from piano and guitar to strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion with a change of clip. The supercardioid pattern and linear off-axis response isolate it from neighboring instruments, and an improved shock mount keeps instrument vibration and stage noise out of the signal.

Loud and Extreme SPL Versions

The Loud SPL version, marked red on the gooseneck, close-mics most acoustic instruments, from harp to drums, and handles up to 145 dB SPL peak. The Extreme SPL version, marked yellow, handles up to 154 dB SPL peak for drums, percussion, and very loud instruments such as trumpet. The piano and accordion stereo pairs are matched to within ±1.0 dB.

The CORE+ Version

CORE+ widens the dynamic range by 10 dB over CORE and raises the clipping point by 3 dB. The new G-MOUNT gooseneck mount works one-handed and holds the mic steady, and the clips are easier to fit while staying gentle on the instrument. The detachable MicroLock cable connects to a wide range of wireless systems through DPA adapters, and the 4099 CORE+ works with every generation of DPA instrument clip and with MicroDot accessories. It is IP58 certified.
