DPA 4098 CORE Supercardioid Gooseneck Microphone

The DPA 4098 CORE supercardioid gooseneck gives high speech intelligibility, with controlled directionality and strong rejection of background noise and RF interference.

It is often used where every word must be understood, such as parliaments where interpreters translate speeches as they are given. Very low noise and high sensitivity give clear, natural sound, and speaking into the side of the mic lowers the level of the voice without making it sound worse.

Lengths and Connectors

The 4098 comes in black or white, with a MicroDot or XLR connector. MicroDot versions measure 16, 28, 43, 77, or 122 cm (6, 11, 17, 30, or 48 in). XLR versions measure 20, 32, 47, 77, or 122 cm (8, 13, 18, 30, or 48 in). White comes in the three shorter lengths of each. The shortest versions are gooseneck along their full length, while the longer ones bend at the top and bottom.

MicroDot versions run from a wireless transmitter or, with a DPA XLR adapter, from P48 phantom power. XLR versions run on P48 and add a permanent low cut at 80 Hz.
