Sound Devices A20-QuickDock Receiver Dock for 8-Series
The Sound Devices A20-QuickDock docks an Astral ARX16 or Astral ARX8 receiver on top of an 833, 888, or Scorpio mixer-recorder, with no cables between the two.
A multi-pin port in its bottom panel carries power, audio, and timecode from the mixer-recorder to the receiver. The receiver connects and disconnects in seconds with no tools, so it can come off the mixer for remote mounting.
Good to Know
A docked receiver runs on power from the 8-Series, and its own TA4 and PoE+ power inputs are disabled. Most of its rear panel connectors are disabled as well, apart from the antenna connectors, the USB-A port, and the Ethernet ports. On a docked ARX16, the Ethernet ports carry control only, not Dante.
