Schoeps MiniCMIT + Rycote MiniCMIT Windshield Kit Bundle — The Schoeps MiniCMIT short shotgun paired with the Rycote windshield kit built specifically for it. Rycote tuned the suspension to the MiniCMIT’s weight distribution with a firmer 72-Shore Lyre at the rear and a softer 62-Shore Lyre at the front, and sized the basket to the mic’s short body, giving boom operators one of the smallest and lightest full windshield setups available for this microphone. The blue Lyres and XLR end cap match the Schoeps finish, and the kit is ready to use out of the box.

The Schoeps MiniCMIT offers the characteristics of the CMIT 5 in a body only 151 mm long and 78 g. It uses the same interference tube and frequency response curve as the CMIT 5 and SuperCMIT, with circuitry similar enough to the CMIT 5 that the two can be intercut without a change in sound. The supercardioid and lobar pattern increases in directivity smoothly with frequency, holds low off-axis coloration, and sounds the same when the mic is rotated on its axis. Specifications include a 60 Hz to 20 kHz range, a fixed 70 Hz low-cut at 24 dB per octave, 14 dB-A self-noise, 17 mV/Pa sensitivity, and 130 dB SPL maximum on P48. It also runs on P12, which draws less power, and carries the latest Schoeps RFI Shield, a combination that makes it a strong match for digital wireless transmitters.

The Rycote MiniCMIT Windshield Kit is part of Rycote’s Perfect For range of kits optimized for specific microphones. It combines patented Lyre suspension, a Rycote basket windshield, a short and lightweight XLR connector, and professional-quality Mogami cable in a compact 280 mm long, 100 mm diameter package that weighs 338 g. The kit includes a Windjammer 1, a spare 72-Shore Lyre, a 260 mm XLR-3M to angled XLR-3F cable, a 3/8-inch boom-pole adapter, a brush, and a sticker.
