Schoeps Desert Island Stereo Sets

Built for stereo recording away from the studio, the Schoeps Desert Island Stereo Set packs a matched pair of Colette microphones, with the capsule pair you choose, into a compact Peli case.

Each set holds two CMC 1 U amplifiers, two matched and axially aligned MK capsules with a certificate of matching, and two SG 20 stand clamps. The CMC 1 U is about one-third the length of the CMC 6 and 53% lighter, equals it electrically, and runs on P48 or P12 phantom power. It takes every MK capsule and active Colette accessory, so the pair can grow into a larger Colette system later.

Nine capsule pairs are offered, from the MK 2 family of omnis to the MK 4 cardioid, the MK 41 supercardioid, and the switchable MK 5. The MK 4 is the classic main pair for XY, ORTF, and MS stereo, and the MK 41 suits film dialogue and spot miking.
