Schoeps Desert Island Stereo Sets

The Schoeps Desert Island Stereo Set is everything you need to make great recordings, packaged into one compact Pelican case. Perfect for when you find yourself stranded on a desert island. Each set includes a matched pair of CMC 1 U microphone amplifiers, your choice of matched MK capsules, and two SG 20 stand clamps. A certificate of matching is included with every set. The CMC 1 U delivers the same electrical and sonic performance as the CMC 6 in roughly one-third the size and 40% less weight. It accepts all MK capsules and active Colette accessories, so the set also serves as a solid entry point into the full Colette system.

Available in nine capsule configurations (from omni to supercardioid), the Desert Island Stereo Set covers a wide range of applications. Location sound mixers reach for the MK 41 pair for stereo plant mics or production ambiences. Documentary and ENG recordists favor the MK 4 cardioid for its natural, consistent character. Field recordists and content creators will find the MK 21 wide cardioid and MK 2H hypercardioid particularly versatile. Whatever the capsule, the set ships ready to work, in a case built to take the field.
