Schoeps Desert Island Boom Set — Includes the CMC 1 U microphone amplifier, two essential capsules (the MK 41 supercardioid and KMIT shotgun), and the SG 20 stand adapter, all in a hard-shell Pelican case with foam insert.

The CMC 1 U compact Colette amplifier delivers the same electrical performance as the CMC 6 in roughly one-third the length. The CMC 1 U accepts all existing MK capsules and active Colette accessories, so the Desert Island Boom Set can serve as a sensible starting point for building a broader Schoeps system. All components come in the CMIT’s signature blue finish. An SG 20 stand adapter is included.

The MK 41 is excellent for interior dialog with a polar pattern that’s highly consistent across the frequency spectrum, attenuating off-axis sound without adding coloration. The KMIT excels outdoors, delivering the additional directivity demanded in location sound. Acoustically identical to the CMIT 5 and MiniCMIT, the KMIT includes a steep integrated low-cut filter (around 70 Hz) and is built to be moisture-resistant.

Swapping between these capsules is quick and easy enough to do between setups, without the need of tools or adapters. The MK 41 and KMIT both connect to the CMC 1 U via the standard Colette thread mount. Simply unscrew the capsule in use, thread on the other, and the mic is ready. The Pelican case keeps whichever capsule is not in use protected and close at hand.

Also included is the SG 20 stand clamp. The SG 20 is a fixed adapter that fits 20/21mm diameter stands and boom poles. Accepts a standard 3/8″ thread.
