Sanken CS-M1 Short Super Cardioid Shotgun Microphone
At 103 mm long and 55 g, the Sanken CS-M1 puts super cardioid shotgun pickup on a camera without getting in the way of a short lens.
It keeps sharp directivity in that short body. It also works on a boom pole on drama shoots and in the studio, and it fits in tight spots.
The capsule is a back electret condenser with a 70 Hz to 20 kHz range, 16 dB-A self-noise, and a maximum of 137 dB SPL. It runs on 48 V phantom power through an XLR-3M connector, and its matte black body is the standard 19 mm in diameter. Its components are chosen to resist humidity and sudden temperature changes.
