Rycote Softie-Lite Fur Windscreen

The Rycote Softie-Lite is a compact slip-on fur windscreen made to pair with the Rycote INV-Lite shock mount on short shotgun microphones from Sennheiser, Schoeps, DPA, and Sanken.

Because the INV-Lite’s cam-lever clamp grips the mic at the rear only, the Softie-Lite can cover the whole interference tube, allowing faster booming indoors than a standard foam. It also handles very light winds outdoors, which makes it useful for indoor-to-outdoor transitions.

The 19 mm version fits the DPA 4017B and 4017C, Sanken CS-1e, and Sennheiser MKH 8060; the 21 mm version fits the Schoeps MiniCMIT. A blue collar marks the 19 mm version and a green one the 21 mm, and each grips the mic tightly. It does not suit shorter mics such as the Sennheiser MKH 8050 or DPA 4018.
