Rycote Modular Windshield WS 5 Kit (XLR-5F) for Stereo Microphones
The Rycote WS 5 stereo kit is a modular windshield for shotgun microphones with a 5-pin XLR output, such as the Sanken CSS-5.
A Lyre suspension isolates the microphone from handling noise and vibration, and a modular basket surrounds the mic and its connector. The Connbox 4 brings the 5-pin connection out to the boom, and the kit takes a Rycote Windjammer for severe weather.
Features
- XLR-5F Connbox 4 included
- For 5-pin stereo shotguns such as the Sanken CSS-5
- Lyre suspension isolates handling noise
- Takes a Rycote Windjammer
About Rycote Modular Windshields
Audio professionals have used Rycote windshield and suspension systems since 1969, and Rycote still builds them in the UK. The Modular Windshield system is sold in complete kits and as separate parts, so you can add or replace a basket, extension, suspension, or Windjammer to suit a different microphone. Rycote developed the original Windjammer fur cover, and it tests its designs in its own wind tunnel.
