Rycote Modular Windshield WS 3 Kit (XLR-5F) for Stereo Microphones

The Rycote WS 3 stereo kit carries a single-shank microphone with a 5-pin XLR output inside a modular basket windshield. It fits mics such as the Sennheiser MKH 418 or Audio-Technica AT8022.

The WS 3 basket and its Windjammer give up to 50 dB of wind and handling noise reduction. The mic rides on a medium suspension with two Duo-Lyre 68 webs, which grip mics 19 to 34 mm in diameter and never sag.

The CB4 Connbox takes the mic’s 5-pin XLR inside the windshield and carries both channels out, isolating cable-borne noise on the way. The kit also includes a pistol grip, boom pole adapter, and XLR holder, so it works handheld or on a pole.
