Rycote Modular Windshield WS 1 Kit MZL for Sennheiser MKH 8060

The Rycote WS 1 Kit MZL gives the Sennheiser MKH 8060 a complete modular windshield, with a Connbox that connects the mic’s MZL output inside the basket.

Its 170 mm basket of gray plastic netting with screening surrounds the mic and its connector and cuts wind noise by up to 30 dB. The Windjammer fur cover adds more for windy days.

A Lyre suspension holds the mic and keeps handling and cable noise out of the recording. The Lyres never sag or need rethreading. The Connbox carries the signal out through gold-pin Neutrik XLRs and soft Mogami star-quad cable. The cable is cut to length so the mic never touches the basket.

Good to Know

Rycote makes other WS kits for longer microphones and for XLR-terminated mics.
