Rycote InVision Video Hot Shoe Mount

The Rycote InVision Video Hot Shoe Mount isolates an external microphone from a camera’s motor noise and vibration.

A lightweight clamp holds mics 19 to 25 mm in diameter and up to 300 mm long. It is suspended in two W-shaped Lyre mounts, which isolate the mic from camera vibration far better than a rigid mount.

The Lyres sit on a bar that slides into the hot shoe and turns 360 degrees around it. The mount’s extra height keeps the mic and its windscreen up and behind the lens, out of shot. For a camera with a 1/4-inch thread instead of a shoe, Rycote makes the InVision Video 1/4-inch adapter.
