Lectrosonics Venue 2 Six-Channel Modular Receiver
The Lectrosonics Venue 2 is a six-channel modular receiver in a single rack space, built to handle crowded RF in fixed installations.
The rack-mount host has a built-in antenna multicoupler and setup software, and holds up to six VRT2 receiver modules, sold separately. Modules snap in and out without tools.
Diversity and Modules
Each module can run on its own with SmartDiversity antenna phase switching, for six audio channels. Two adjacent modules can also pair up for ratio diversity on one channel. Ratio diversity blends the RF from both receivers to head off dropouts. Paired and single modules can mix in one frame.
Each module tunes three standard blocks, a span of up to 76 MHz with up to 3072 frequencies, in 100 or 25 kHz steps. Its iQ tracking filters stay centered on the carrier. They narrow when the signal is strong, to reject interference close to the operating frequency.
Antennas
The built-in multicoupler splits each antenna input seven ways: six outputs feed the modules and one loops through to another Venue receiver. Several receivers can share one pair of antennas this way. A menu setting sends DC power up the coax to remote antenna amplifiers.
Control and Outputs
The front-panel LCD shows RF, audio, diversity, pilot tone, and transmitter battery status for all six receivers at once. A headphone jack monitors any channel, and an IR port syncs transmitters. The rear panel has six balanced XLR outputs and Ethernet, USB, and RS-232 ports. Wireless Designer software adds spectrum scans and frequency coordination.
