Lectrosonics DSR4 Four-Channel Digital Slot Receiver
The Lectrosonics DSR4 is a four-channel digital slot receiver with independent channels in one compact unit, for bags, sound carts, and camera slots.
It fits SuperSlot, and with DSR4 firmware 1.09 and 8-Series firmware 9.30 it integrates fully with Sound Devices 8-Series mixer-recorders. External DC powers it, and settings are made from the front panel with tactile buttons and a color LCD. Its machined aluminum housing has a hard-anodized finish with laser-etched markings.
Frequency Bands
Trew Audio carries the DSR4 in three tuning ranges: A1B1 (470.100 to 614.375 MHz), B1C1 (537.600 to 691.175 MHz), and 941 (941.525 to 959.825 MHz). Frequencies step in 25 kHz increments, and each version comes with jointed SMA antennas for its range.
Diversity and RF
With all four channels in use, each channel combines the signals from both antennas, in or out of phase, for the strongest result. For two-channel work, its receivers pair up for Vector Diversity, which continuously blends the RF from both paired receivers. A front end with an IP3 of +15 dBm resists intermodulation and desensitization, and the built-in spectrum analyzer and SmartTune find clear frequencies in crowded RF.
Audio and Outputs
Audio is 24-bit, 48 kHz, with AES 256-bit CTR encryption and four key policies. Outputs are analog or AES3 digital, through camera slot adapters, a dual TA5 output adapter, battery sled adapters, or the front-panel TA5 jack. SmartNR noise reduction has Off, Normal, and Full settings for hiss from lav mics and preamps.
The DSR4 receives Lectrosonics D-Squared and Duet digital transmitters and the Digital Hybrid Wireless transmitters, which the Compatibility tab lists by name.
