Lectrosonics DCHR Digital Camera Hop Receiver

The Lectrosonics DCHR receives the DCHT’s two-channel digital link at the camera and delivers it as two balanced analog outputs or AES3 digital audio.

It also works with the M2T stereo transmitters and with D2 Series mono transmitters such as the DBu, DHu, and DPR-A. Antenna diversity switches during digital packet headers for seamless audio, and AES 256-CTR encryption with four key policies secures the link.

The outputs leave through a locking TA5M connector. A stereo amplifier feeds the 3.5 mm headphone jack, with the power to drive inefficient headphones in noisy places. Latency is 1.4 ms in D2 mode and 1.8 ms in the stereo modes.

The 2-way IR port sends settings from the receiver to a transmitter, so frequencies can be coordinated on site. A Locale setting keeps North American tuning out of the 608 to 614 MHz range. Two lithium AA batteries run it for about 8 hours, or the optional LTBATELIM powers it from external DC. The housing is machined aluminum in an ebENi black electroless nickel finish, and the optional LRSHOE mounts it on a camera. Sweat damages the receiver, so the DCHRCVR silicone cover protects it when worn.
