K-Tek KPHW Mighty Boom Hodges Counterweight
The K-Tek KPHW Mighty Boom Hodges Counterweight balances a boom pole by adding weight at the bottom, so long takes need less effort.
It attaches to the bottom of Mighty Boom and KlassicPro poles only, not Avalon or Airo poles. The total weight goes up a little, but the pole feels lighter because the counterweight offsets the pull of the mic at the far end. For heavy payloads at the tip, stack more than one.
The KPHW1 half size weighs 1.1 lb (0.5 kg), and the KPHW2 full size weighs 2.2 lb (1 kg).
