K-Tek KP14VCCR Mighty Boom Carbon Boom Pole (Coiled Cable, Side Exit)

The K-Tek KP14VCCR Mighty Boom is a five-section carbon boom pole with a coiled cable inside and a side-exit XLR at the base.

It collapses to 48 in (121.9 cm) and extends to 14 ft 4 in (4.39 m), and it weighs 2.68 lb (1.22 kg). The coiled cable ends in a Mighty Boom right-angle connector at the top, and the KPCCR bottom module carries a male XLR side exit. The top is a 3/8-16 male thread.

The headpiece threads off after you remove one set screw, so you can change between uncabled, coiled cable, and transmitter setups without soldering. Captive collets with oval grips extend each section smoothly, and the pole is hand-burnished to cut handling noise.

For wireless use, the KPTA Sidekick transmitter adapter replaces the bottom module. K-Tek boom poles are made in the USA, with repair and support in house.
