K-Tek KSQD1 Squid Universal Mount

The K-Tek KSQD1 Squid is a universal silicone mount that straps a transmitter, monitor, or phone to a boom pole or any other tube.

Made in Austria of strong, see-through elastic silicone, it weighs 0.74 oz (21 g) and has no snaps, buckles, or hook and loop to break. The silicone acts as a shock absorber between the device and the pole, and you can still see the device’s controls and displays through it.

In Use

Boom operators use it to hold a mini or plug-on transmitter at the top of the pole, to help RF range and take strain off the connector. It also holds a monitor, phone, or gimbal remote on the bottom section, and it fits tripod legs, antenna masts, C-stands, cart handles, and handgrips.
