K-Tek Mighty Boom KP Carbon Boom Pole

The K-Tek Mighty Boom KP is a six-section carbon boom pole with a removable headpiece, made in lengths from 5 to 20 ft.

The headpiece threads off after you remove one set screw, so you can change between uncabled, coiled cable, and transmitter setups without soldering. Captive collets with oval grips extend each section smoothly, and the poles are hand-burnished to cut handling noise.

With six sections and wider tubes, the poles are stiffer and collapse shorter, which helps balance and quick cueing. The top is a 3/8-16 male thread, and the uncabled poles have a removable rubber bumper.

Uncabled or Coiled Cable

The uncabled models take a KPCK coiled cable kit and KPCCR bottom module later, with no soldering. The CCR models come wired with a KPCK coiled cable, a low-profile right-angle XLR at the top, and the KPCCR module with a male XLR side exit at the bottom. The 5 ft and 6 ft models are the compact Traveler poles.
