K-Tek KP14VFT Mighty Boom Carbon Boom Pole (Straight Cable, KPFT)
The K-Tek KP14VFT Mighty Boom is a five-section carbon pole with a straight internal cable, collapsing to 51.6 in and reaching 14 ft 7 in.
It weighs 2.89 lb (1.31 kg). The cable runs from the low-profile right-angle XLR female (KPRCF) at the top down to the KPFT flow-through bottom module. The module has a removable rubber bottom.
Removable Headpiece
Remove one set screw and the headpiece threads off the tube, so a cable goes in or comes out without soldering.
The captive collets have a thick, smooth surface for gradual extension, and oval dimples give the collars a firm grip. The tubes are hand burnished against handling noise, and the pole is made in the USA.
