K-Tek KP10V Mighty Boom Carbon Boom Pole (Uncabled)

The K-Tek KP10V Mighty Boom is a five-section carbon pole that collapses to 35 in and reaches 10 ft.

It weighs 1.5 lb (0.68 kg) and comes uncabled. The top is a standard 3/8-16 male thread, and the rubber bumper at the base comes off.

Removable Headpiece

Remove one set screw and the headpiece threads off the tube, so a cable goes in or comes out without soldering. The pole can run uncabled, with a coiled cable, or with a transmitter at the base. The KPCK10V coiled cable kit and the KPCCR bottom module turn it into a coil-cabled pole with a side-exit XLR.

The KP10V replaces the K102 Klassic pole and keeps its five sections. Its bottom tube is slightly smaller than that of the six-section Mighty Booms. The captive collets have a thick, smooth surface for gradual extension, and oval dimples give the collars a firm grip. The tubes are hand burnished against handling noise, and the pole is made in the USA.
