K-Tek KC108 Essential Boom Pole
The K-Tek KC108 Essential is a five-section composite boom pole that collapses to 29.5 in and extends to 9 ft.
It weighs 1.2 lb (544 g) and fits in a standard Pelican 1650 or 1637 case or medium-size luggage. It was first sold as the Indie boom pole, built for independent filmmakers, documentary crews, news gatherers, and vloggers on a budget, and it is made of K-Tek’s proprietary composite.
The top is a standard 3/8-16 male thread. Anodized knurled collars give a firm grip, and the smooth tube finish lets the sections extend cleanly. The coiled cable version runs an internal coiled cable from a Neutrik XLR at the top to a male XLR at the base. The KC108 is a limited edition, made in the USA, with repair and support in house.
