JK Audio RemoteMix 2 Two-Channel Broadcast Field Mixer
JK Audio RemoteMix 2 Two-Channel Broadcast Field Mixer — A compact two-channel field mixer and headphone amplifier built for the remote broadcast environment, providing a communications interface for remote broadcasts, IFB, or a backup audio path. It combines a phone line hybrid with DTMF keypad and redial and a wired notebook and cell phone headset interface, and every section is designed to work together to save setup time and wiring in the field.
For radio, RemoteMix 2 handles live remotes as a phone line hybrid for calling into a studio talk show hybrid, or as a front-end mixer for a POTS, ISDN, IP, or smartphone codec. For TV, two powerful 1/4″ headphone outputs with individual level controls let crews send and receive interview audio while pulling IFB off the phone line, a cell phone, or a notebook. The integrated headphone amplifier provides sidetone to monitor every input plus an external cue feed, and the wired headset interface is HD Voice compatible for 7 kHz wide-band speech on supported phones and networks.
Two balanced XLR mic inputs feed a balanced XLR mix output with full 20 Hz to 20 kHz bandwidth, and a mic/line pad on channel 2 accepts a line-level balanced source. 3.5mm send and receive jacks connect a recorder or playback device, and an LED VU meter confirms levels. Power comes from two hot-swappable 9V batteries or the included 100-240 VAC supply.
