JK Audio RemoteMix 2 Two-Channel Broadcast Field Mixer
Built for remote broadcasts, the JK Audio RemoteMix 2 mixes two mics, drives two headphones, and connects to a phone line or a cell phone for IFB or a backup audio path.
Its phone line hybrid has a DTMF keypad. The wired headset interface plugs into the 3.5 mm headset jack of a cell phone or notebook, with HD Voice for 7 kHz wide-band speech on supported phones and networks.
For TV, the two 1/4 in headphone outputs, each with its own level control, let a crew send and receive interview audio while pulling IFB off the phone line, a cell phone, or a notebook. The integrated headphone amplifier provides sidetone to monitor all inputs plus an external cue feed. For radio, the RemoteMix 2 works as the front-end mixer for a POTS, VoIP, or smartphone codec, or calls into a studio talk show hybrid.
The two XLR mic inputs have a mic/line pad switch and feed a balanced XLR mix output with 20 Hz to 20 kHz response. 3.5 mm send and receive jacks connect a recorder or playback device, and an LED VU meter confirms levels. Power comes from two hot-swappable 9 V batteries or a 100 to 240 VAC external supply.
