JK Audio Pureformer Stereo Isolation Transformer
The JK Audio Pureformer isolates a stereo connection between a sound card and a mixer or amplifier, removing the ground loops and DC paths that cause hum and signal breakup.
A computer’s electrical ground is often noisy from disk drive activity and data transmission. Many sound cards share that ground with the audio signal, so the noise leaks into the rest of the system. The Pureformer passes only the audio between its RCA jacks, through low-distortion 600 ohm audio transformers, and needs no AC or battery power. It cannot remove noise already mixed into the signal, so that noise still has to be fixed at its source.

About JK Audio
JK Audio has made audio interfaces for radio and television broadcast since its founding in 1992, and its products serve live broadcasts, interviews, and behind-the-scenes communications. Its first product, the THAT-1 telephone handset audio tap, found a home in telecom laboratories and radio studios and led to more than 40 specialized audio products. JK Audio builds its products in the USA, with most components and subassemblies from local contractors and suppliers. Each one is tested for compliance with global safety, emissions, and telecom standards.
