JK Audio innkeeper LTD Digital Hybrid Telephone Interface
JK Audio innkeeper LTD Digital Hybrid Telephone Interface — JK Audio’s simplest digital hybrid, built to send line-level signals into a standard analog phone line while keeping the talent voice cleanly separated from the caller. The balanced XLR output carries only the caller’s voice, making it a natural companion for mixers, consoles, and PA systems that need talk show quality audio from a phone line.
The hybrid connects audio to the telephone line without the transmit and receive crosstalk common to analog hybrids. Its 16-bit DSP continuously monitors both the phone line and the audio signals, and a proprietary auto null algorithm achieves 50 dB of separation with no setup and no noise burst sent down the line. The input expects a line-level signal, so innkeeper LTD pairs with a mixing board or a microphone preamp.
Calls are placed from a telephone on the auxiliary phone jack or from the optional Guest Module 1 remote keypad on the Remote jack. The auxiliary phone disconnects when Call is pressed and reconnects on Drop, and an auto-answer switch with auto-disconnect suits IFB and monitoring. Send and caller LED meters track levels, and recessed volume controls with no DIP switches keep setup simple on analog lines worldwide. Applications include telephone interviews, talk shows, church PA interfaces, and full-duplex conference rooms, and the optional RA2 rack panel holds two units in 1U.
