JK Audio Broadcast Host Desktop Digital Hybrid Telephone Interface
The JK Audio Broadcast Host brings a mic, headphones, and an analog phone line together on the desktop, for talk show quality phone interviews into a mixer or sound card.
Its digital hybrid connects to a standard analog line without the transmit and receive crosstalk of analog hybrids. The DSP continuously monitors both the phone line and the audio. Its proprietary dual-convergence echo canceller typically reaches more than 50 dB of separation, with no setup and no noise burst sent down the line.
The XLR send input takes a mic or line source through its mic/line switch, and 3.5 mm mono and stereo line inputs add other sources. The balanced XLR caller output carries only the caller. The rear 3.5 mm stereo output puts your voice on the left channel and the caller on the right, ready to record. Send and caller volume controls set the levels, each with its own LED, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack monitors both sides.
An auxiliary phone is needed only to place outgoing calls. Pressing Call disconnects the auxiliary phone, and pressing Drop reconnects it. Switchable auto-answer with auto-disconnect suits IFB and monitoring. The Broadcast Host also serves telephone interviews, talk shows, church PA systems, and full-duplex conference rooms.
