DPA ANT202A Active Directional Antenna

The DPA ANT202A, an active directional antenna for UHF wireless, adds a built-in booster to a wideband log periodic dipole array (LPDA).

The antenna gives about 6 dB of gain with a typical beamwidth of 90°. Its booster adds 0 to 15 dB, set in 1 dB steps with the buttons beside the LED display, and holds its gain within ±1 dB across the 470 to 870 MHz working band. With the booster bypassed, the antenna covers 420 to 1300 MHz.

The booster runs on +12 V at 100 mA, the bias power that the N-DR1 receiver’s antenna inputs and the ADS0208 splitter supply. The body is sturdy metal, with epoxy protection on the cable joints.
