DPA 4466 CORE+ Omnidirectional Headset Microphone
The DPA 4466 CORE+ puts a 5 mm CORE+ omnidirectional capsule on DPA’s Red Dot award-winning adjustable headset.
Its 6 mV/Pa sensitivity matches a voice to the input of most wireless transmitters. CORE+ keeps distortion below 1% up to 134 dB SPL, so presenters and performers can speak and sing at full voice. It suits theater, broadcast, houses of worship, and conferencing. The pre-fitted Soft Boost Grid adds 3 dB at 8 to 20 kHz, and the included High Boost Grid adds 10 dB around 12 kHz.
The one-size frame adjusts quickly and is stainless steel with a PVD coating that tolerates heat and resists impact and abrasion. Ear grips hold above, below, and behind each ear, firmly but gently, so the headset stays secure and comfortable through long wear.
The boom extends, shortens, and pivots at a point below the ear, with an anti-rotation shape and a sliding lock to hold its position at the corner of the mouth. It detaches to move to the other side, and a service connector lets the boom and cable be replaced separately. The cable guide at the back slides out of the camera’s view and keeps the Kevlar-core 1.6 mm cable clear of the boom.
MicroLock is DPA’s locking connector. A MicroLock adapter connects the mic to most professional wireless transmitters, and MicroLock parts also mate with MicroDot parts (the lock works only when both halves are MicroLock).
